I'm very fortunate to live under very dark skies! Because of that, I have an observatory with a slide-off motorized roof, housing a 16" dobson telescope. The sky is so full of stars, in the beginning it was difficult to make out the different constellations, and the Milky Way is astonishing!

I suffered a severe back injury 5 weeks ago, so am re-adjusting my equipment for lighter weight. I have the 55-300 PLM coming tomorrow! I also found a great price on a silver Q7, and also on an additional 06 lens!

After a 2 month absence because of surgery, etc., I'm back with a bang! Just got a KP from a fellow member, that looks like new! Also scored a Pentax *300 f/4 lens!
I'm a happy camper!

I just leave the hood extended. I ordered a LensCoat hoodie that fits the hood. My bag holds the camera and lens with the hood extended, so no need for me to not just leave it that way. I'm extremely careful with my equipment, so don't anticipate marring the rubber coating. I'm sure Ron put this lens thru it's paces, and still, it looks brand new.:)

Mike that's a hood that simply slides back and forth. It's definitely in mint condition, not a mark anywhere. Even the box looks brand new!

Quite a story on my acquisition! I had started a thread here, asking for opinions for a 300 or 400 lens. I had wanted one for quite some time. A member read the thread & contacted me, that he had a Sigma 300 F4 APO tele Macro AF. Found out he lives about 10 miles from me!!! We met & I came home with this lens, in mint condition, box and case included. Another funny thing, in my thread another member had just suggested this lens, but said it was more rare than hen's teeth in the Pentax mount! So talk about coincidence! Then as I met the member, the UPS driver shows up where we met, and he knows both of by name! :lol:
Anyway, I'm a pretty thrilled gal to get out & try this gem out.

I'm quite impressed with both of the Promasters. The 70-300 Macro came with hood, end caps and the box for $65!
The 28-105 came with end caps, $45. Both are in mint condition. I saw the 70-300 on Marketplace, and checked the reviews here, & bought it. Was so pleased with it, that when I saw the second one on Marketplace, took that one also.:)
This was taken in poor light, thru a window, handheld with the 70-300 +1.4TC.

I recently picked up two ProMaster lenses (Tamron relabels) from MarketPlace:
70-300 Macro
28-105.
Got these at a very reasonable price, and am very surprised at the quality of the images from them. I'm really loving them!
