Short answer is no. The RBA and the RBC are have completely different bayonet lugs and they will not interchange. Been there, done that.

I'm also using a K-5IIs. I have a K-50 and I didn't check it but I assume it works the same way.

I just tested it with the RC, 3 second delay. When the sequence is triggered the mirror raises then the timer beeps until the shutter fires then the mirror returns to it's unlocked positon. Oddly, if bracketing is set, the mirror locks up before the fist shot but it cycles between subsequent shots. In either case, shake reduction is disabled when using the remote control, with or without the 3 second delay.

Remote with 3 second delay also activates the MLU... no? It also disables shake reduction which, ironically can introduce false movement if the camera is mounted on a tripod or other sturdy support. Single exposure with a cable remote does not disable SR; if you're shooting that way you need to go into the menu and disable it manually. The 2-second delay I believe does disable SR because it assumes the camera is on a stable support.

I hadn't used my kit lens much until this month when I decided to strap it on for the October Single In Challenge. Here are a few from that exercise.

There are more on my Flickr page and I will happily share a few from time to time but I didn't want to overwhelm the thread all at once.
