A hasty retreat is always a good decision, especially if your gear is worth $$$$...
But I guess no risk = no keepers, so kudos to your courage :)
Regarding lens performance, I'd kinda expect a 2'000€ lens to be at least sufficient wide open...

The one with reflection on the bus (?) is really well-crafted. And a fine series overall :)

I think a)
Polarizers are most effective at a 90° angle from the sun, no matter how much you adjust them, and the wider the panorama, the larger the variation.
24mm or 50mm wouldn't have made any difference, since the only thing of interested is the degrees of horizon covered, i.e. the field of view of the complete panorama.
Nice picture though! :)

Wow... those are special.
I can't pick a favorite one, every single one of the three appeals me for a different reason (#1 colors, #2 interesting case of mimicry, #3 composition)

When I open this thread I can't do anyway but start "liking" pictures... then I remember you all have a K-1!

First one for me.
I would have liked the second better if 1. the OoF flower was included completely and 2. if it was not aligned, e.g. bigger in-focus flower on bottom left (or top left), smaller OoF flower on top right (or bottom right).

It also depends on the amount of cropping you do... if I crop off-center, then I think the best course of action is to remove distortion and vignetting as much as possible, and then dial in some post-crop vignette (it's there for just cases like this).
There's a way to create lens profiles, but it's time consuming, and requires a precise set-up. I'd have done with something simpler, even if a little less accurate.
For my smartphone RAW I just shot a white sheet of A4 paper under uniform light (near a window), then tried varying the settings (amount and midpoint) and checking the corners and the center with the eyedropper, until I had RGB values within ±5 of each other.
That sky picture of yours... I don't know... it looks like it's brighter in the lower portion, but it could be many things.

Thank! I asked because I had seen some shots on Flickr but was not completely sure.
I really like this lens, so the idea of being able to use it if I ever buy a K-1 is really nice :)

Thanks, makes sense,
Did you light-paint the lighthouse, was it flash at the beginning/end of the exposure or a different one altogether?

Looks like a false positive, if you downloaded from the "official" website... you should be good just by adding an exception.

Looks like you pasted two North coordinates!
There was some interesting conversation a couple of months ago how "the masses" are posing a threat to the locations or the subjects of "cliché photographs", like the so-called "most photographed tree in the world" and such.
I went to Puglia (Apulia) a couple of years ago and a very beautiful natural pool near the sea, called "Grotta della Poesia" (you can find it variously translated to "Grotto of Poetry", "Cave of Poetry", "Caves of Poetry") was literally overrun with tourists mainly doing stoopid things, i.e. selfies and dive bombing from ~3 m in quite shallow water.
Just a dozen years before it was almost deserted.
Give me a place no one has ever seen before, or has seen but decided to disregard: I'd rather photograph that than "what everyone else is doing".
