The portrait and bird (making name up...red-capped chickadee?) are particularly nice.
Like some others here I've been using my (fun) Q much more than my other cameras for several months now.

Only for the most recent adopters in the last few months. Before that, the situation was the other way around, when all the nearly all kits in US featured 01. I paid more for my used 02 zoom alone than what you can buy a ur-Q kit with 02 now ($197 on newegg yesterday). Of course new Q + 01 kits go for twice that now, but even that's a good deal.

Nice, I can see you and this lens are conspiring to create some good stuff. LIke the "Schneider Flowers" and "Sunny Street" in particular.

I like my metal black ur-Q better as well--but if it has to use softer materials, they might as well make as many choices available as possible -- and extend the custom color choice program to the export market. I wouldn't mind if my Q had a brain transplant to match the speedier Q10 as well.

I had much the same thought -- I need a little kick to remind me to stop obsessing about gear, grab that little Q and just work with it. It really is enough camera to do lots of cool stuff.
