Why would a positive review of a certain brand turn off a large number of users of other brands? As fierce as some people may defend their brands and look down on others, the vast majority of photography enthusiasts are a pretty reasonable bunch who wouldn't immediately shun someone just because he holds another brand in high regard.

It's not so much the case of whether Tony gets a K-1 specifically or when he gets it, the important bit here is that according to him Ricoh have ignored him for a solid 2 years, not sending him anything to review, including stuff already released of which they should have more than enough lying around.

I expected some sort of simulation where you can select any lens and it shows you the level of vignetting, sharpness etc. for any given focal length and aperture.
If it's really just a gallery of pictures taken with different lenses, then the term 'lab' might be a bit of a hyperbole.

Yeah, I don't get it either. We bring up something that we consider to be a big Ricoh marketing mistake and in return we get a flaming defence of a guy we never heard of :confused:

Valid points, except I doubt Mr. Malcolm micromanages every single decision of every single department and Pentax' marketing has not exactly shone in the past. There is hope for that to be turned around, but they have a lot to make good on.

Okay, so letting Ricoh know about this doesn't seem to be the problem. Their marketing department just has to be utterly incompetent to ignore one of Youtube's most popular photography channel for a solid two years.
