Been a while since I posted a squirrel picture. I'm using the K series 200mm f4 this month in the SIC, and a squirrel happened to be in range today. Nonchalant squirrel by David Riggs, on Flickr

I was finally able to get close enough for a quick shot. He's moved in to the woods just behind the house. New squirrels by riggomatic, on Flickr

He's just carving it for you:).
And here I thought a cordless drill or jigsaw was the easiest way to carve these days.

He's giving you a Clint Eastwood eye squint in that second picture. :)
"Did he fire six shots or only five? Well, to tell you the truth, in all this excitement, I've kinda lost track myself...".

I hope to get a better picture of this guy... There are a couple spots in town, and one down the road that has these black squirrels, but none have made it to my house until recently. He was on a run across the yard, and I managed one shot (sort of). I'll be ready next time...if he comes back. |

Perhaps, but the neighbors might be a little freaked out with a giant peanut taking pictures in the yard:).

Closest thing I could get to a squirrel, while walking a trail at Ouabache State Park, Bluffton, IN this morning.
The squirrel I was following would not cooperate.

Great series! I particularly like the first image. The blue cast (maybe window reflection?) gives it a cool film look (in my opinion :))

Squirrelucks do. :)
According to Google:
Lamellae: The lamellae are thin, comb- or fringe-like structures on the sides of a duck's bill, just inside the edge of the bill, and can look like serrated teeth.

Fresh black oil sunflower seeds in the squirrel feeder and this one's munching on the dropped seeds from the birds. I guess it is less work. Squirrel Feeding by David Riggs, on Flickr
