It was really dark there, but I think the light is from a yongnuo light wand or a head lamp and later on we did a small camp fire and that light was even better

Thanks! Set the camera to Interval composite, bright mode. I was not sure about the result because it was my first star trail in the city. Lights everywhere. I have to search for some nice places to try again :)
I did 300 exposures (if I'm not wrong) at f/6.3, 10 seconds, ISO 800, interval 12s. A good tripod and using a remote are a must.
