Indiana sales tax is 7%. I checked a couple of the other states on the 6% list - Vermont and West Virginia. Each of them has a 6% state tax, and then allows localities to add a little more to the percentage.

I gain cash from the Discover Card I've had since 1986 - I have no idea what their interest rate structure is, nor what any other rate is, because I don't pay it.

Until somebody gets the card and reads the fine print, we won't know whose money is supporting this thing. The Amazon "store card" is actually issued by Synchrony Bank. The Amazon "credit card" is actually issued by Chase Bank. The actual issuer is who receives the minimum $2 interest charge.
