I have just received my K-1 and was using it with the 35 Art I bought for it. I can see the lens mount flange clearance issue you are talking about. However, with my lens/camera combo, there is no scuff mark and I can see a tiny space between the camera body and the lens beveled area. It clears my new camera, but just by a whisker. I am going to continue to use the Sigma. I can see how, by mounting and un-mounting the lens, if you don't hold the lens square, it might slightly scuff the body. I'm not going to worry about it.
