I was trying to avoid shooting into the sun. It was very bright out and some areas were shaded by trees. The first image was shot directly into the sun. The second two the sun was at side a little behind me.

Thankyou, I was a little skeptical about the K50 since I already had a K3. I figured for $250 US Dollars why not, worse case I send it back. I can not afford a second K3 body but the K50 does just fine.

And the PP marathon continues. Tonight still processing photos from the K50. About a third of the way through around 2,000 unprocessed files.:asleep:
The K50 and DFA 100mm Macro. I think you could stick that DFA 100 on a cell phone and still get great shots.
This first one is not a crop. I was able to get in real close on this one. Pink Rose-2016-6.jpg by Michael, on Flickr Pink Rose-2016-4.jpg by Michael, on Flickr Pink Rose-2016-8.jpg by Michael, on Flickr
Lets see what that 16mp sensor on the K50 can really do, especially for those hung up on sensor size. I actually used Live View and held the camera over my head for these. Too many branches were in the way otherwise. Live View works very well on the K50.

100% crop, the K50's sensor is more than capable and that little camera holds it's own right along with my K3. Common Morpho-2016-9-2.jpg by Michael, on Flickr

Congratulations the K3 is a great camera. I use my K3 and K50 side by side. My long lenses go one the K3 and the shorter ones on the K50.
The autofocus on the K3 is awesome.

Have not stopped by here in a few days.
Nice, I still have never used the astrotracer on mine. We so rarely get clear skies here.
Nice ones, that 10-17 is such a great lens.

Thank you, the 16-50 is a temperamental little beast. It took me awhile to really learn ts quirks. Mine required a +3 focus adjustment on my K3 but none on my K50. I am a big fan 0f quick shift focus. In that shot I made on final minor adjustment before I took the shot. I did not nail it spot on but I was close. At 50mm and f2.8 you depth of field is about an inch or so. Simply moving the camera back on forth can ruin your shot. This shot is 50mm at f2.8. The eye is focus but the beak is not. The 10-17 is a great lens, super sharp stopped down. I just wrote a review on mine. The only draw back is the aberrations in high contrast situations. It was my DA lens back in 2008. That is a great shot.

Nice shots, Ive been shooting for 30 years and I am still always learning something new. Like how to get this one in focus with the right angle. Shot with DA*16-50 at 50mm wide open at f2.8. Boulder Ridge Wild Animal Park-13.jpg by Michael, on Flickr

Thankyou, the 18-135 was basically made for the K50 or at least that is how it feels.
