I came across a copy that was new old stock shortly after I purchased my K-1. I am pretty sure I only originally used it on gloomy days since I purchased my K-1 in the winter. At F2.8 it is definitely not the sharpest lens. Not terrible for me, but others may be greatly dissatisfied. Once you stop it down to F4 it improves greatly. At 24mm and F2.8 it vignettes heavily on the K-1 but that can be fixed in post. I have a Sigma 28mm F1.8 DG Macro and that lens is sharp wide open at F1.8. The nice thing about this 24-60 F2.8 is that it uses 77mm filters instead of 82mm filters. It is actually smaller than my SMC DA*16-50.

Sigma 8-16 on the K3ii. I really should use this lens a little bit more.

8mm, there really is no other lens I could photograph this with unless it was a fisheye. I was basically standing in the street to take it. Any further back I would have caught the power lines.

K3ii with the Sigma 300 F2.58 and Tamron 1.4 AF TC. This is a nice set up but handling for long periods do not seem likely for me. I had a monopod for this shot. It does balance better than my Sigma 50-500 which is lighter. However the 50-500 is longer when zoomed out to 500mm which seems to throw the balance off.

I have my eye out for one of those Sigma 2X converters. They are a bit expensive it K mount right now. I missed an opportunity on one when the seller sent out an offer. Someone grabbed it before me. I have the Pentax 1.7 AF adapter and a Tamron 1.4 TC so I am not in any hurry.

Thank you, I got lucky. The sun was out and the lightning was just right. Plus this butterfly did not move at all for over an hour. That 180 macro is one amazing piece of glass.
