Which lens do you prefer out of these two Rondec. Was looking at them both and I decided on the 24-70 for its versatility. Would have loved to have both. Just curious on your opinion on these two thanks

I prefer the first one as it makes for a more interesting photo and there is more going on. The close up is good if you want to look at details but feel the first one gives more in the way of bokeh and action of the blurred out butterfly and seems more correct composition as one butterfly leads the eye to the other. Just my two cents great photos all the same.

Its a great camera for the vintage lens and now they're hardly on e-bay glad I got some before the full frame announcement because they are nowhere to be seen. Thanks for the reply. The look from the vintage glass is very unique I find.

Wonderful beach photos, its a very special lens the K30mm and has an appeal all its own. Its a great walkaround lens and you can get quite close with it. How you finding it on the K1? Thanks

I've seen a collection of these in a video comp on facebook and wondered who did these great photos of dogs about to get a treat. They're brilliant and funny a fab idea that genuinely made me laugh some of their faces. Good on you all the best

Thanks for comment and sorry for late response. There's some real great photos in this thread. I posted them straight from camera maybe needed some editing to make them pop but I thought the natural look suited them. Cheers

Your posts are always great to look at Rupert although I do question my own sanity as now every squirrel I see could be a relative of Otis. There does need to be a more light-hearted approach and this is a great forum with some fantastic photographers as members

These are a collection done with the K1. Lenses used 30mm f2.8, 55mm f1.8, & 85mm f1.8. Its amazing how these lenses work great with the K1. Very pleased with the camera and have no regrets. Here is the link to the photos. Also was considering the K3ii or K70 but the K1 won on the grounds of high iso and dynamic range. Also felt my lenses were crying out for ff usage and the ff is perfect for the purposes of which I use the camera. Its a great step up COLOUR: AROUND & ABOUT |

How does the K30 f2.8 fair on full frame is it as good as I'd imagined. There was some doubt at the logic of putting legacy glass on such an expensive camera. You photo is excellent and looks plenty sharp to me. Is it sharp corner to corner at f8 and above as this is where it is at its best thanks Noelpolar for posting real curious now
