An old shot taken years ago.
Using the DL with a 1000mm scope for birds off the back porch of the cabin.
Saw this way off in the woods and would have never have noticed without the long glass on.
This is so often how we really see wildlife out in the field - half hidden back in the brush....

I hear you. Sometimes when doing birds you just have to take what nature allows.
Keep on trucking.
If that is at ISO 4000 your K5 is well worth the money.
