Can you scroll down further? There are a lot of things in the menu

If not, try selecting the debug line and pressing OK. Then rebooting the camera the way you did to get that page

Or select 'all files' from the drop down menu on the save window, then type in the extension when saving.

Onebeachbum, it does work with screw drive. that's not the problem. The issue is the lost focus cal data. So it will screw drive to incorrect focus

I just found another 16-50.

I'll be selling my copy as a manual focus only for a song and a dance. I'm sure someone will take it. Lesson learned

Yep. Oh well. Nobody is really helping with Roms either so whatever. I didn't pay a fortune for the lens because the SDM was dead so it isn't a huge deal. Of I can't get Roms I can't save it. Maybe I'll run it over with my truck and post the carnage just to ruffle some feathers

Hahahaha no man you don't get this.

I know how to do it. I converted my 50-135 ages ago with my k20d

When I got my dead 16-50 I didn't back up my lensrom and used the screw ROM I had based on the assumption that the camera did the focusing.

So now I have a bad cal file in my 16-50 and since I don't have my k20 anymore I can't try others.

Got it? That's why I'm collecting lensroms. I'll probably end up making one single ROM from several others using the best focus cals I can get at each focal length.

Me.

I don't know what's going on with this stupid thing. Sometimes it seems fine and others it's way out to lunch. And apparently you can't read or write lensroms with the k3. So I'm stuck for now

Yes the c0 to 80 is the same for the 16-50 (and other SDM lenses), but the rest of the file isn't. It is unique to each lens. I messed that part up so now I'm collecting these files to see if I can find one that's close to what I had. Thanks for posting yours. And hopefully others will post theirs as well!

Lauren, can you send me your backup files from the 16-50s?

I forgot to backup my 16-50 and paid the price. I'm currently looking for a lenseep file that works best for me. I have what seems to be a good one but would like to try others.

Can you send them to wibbly(at)shaw.ca?

Thanks

truman.

when you get into the debug menu, you have to enable debug by changing from dis to en, then hitting ok. this will shut the camera off. toggle it back on again and it should still say en, then scroll down and get to work.
