i just picked up an em1 mark 2, and the AF is at least 5 times faster than the k3. the oly can lock focus faster than you can even perceive it happening, if it didn't have a confirmation beep you wouldn't think it had done anything. if you just press the shutter release, it'll focus and take the shot nearly instantly. the k3 would have a lag of at least 1/3 to 1/2 a second, no question.
maybe the m5 is a touch slower, but there's no way it's slower than a k3. the AF misery is the reason i switched, and the reason i have an em1 is that it's the closest feature set i could get to my k3.

Cell phones have wide angle handled certainly, but Don't have much hope with telephoto.
So long as all the companies keep building larger and larger (some of these new lenses are getting ridiculous), there will be people who want a compact kit. Hell I bet a large portion of m43 shooters have a full frame kit.
