poor flare resistance - the OEM hood helps and it is the only way to mount a filter on it as there are no threads on the lens itself...
I posted a review on this lens in the review section here on PF - it's a middling lens but nowhere close to a DA 15 Limited...

exactly - unless you are restricting yourself to only new lenses, the used market can hold amazing deals for lenses...
for example, my gently-used copy of the DA 10-17 was $237.....
