update:
I purchased a roll of Ilford HP5+ 400 and ran it through the Olympus - it was torturous: no manual focus capabilities at all, limited controls for aperture, etc....
here's the best of the bunch: pumphead by Pepperberry Farm, on Flickr shed latch by Pepperberry Farm, on Flickr brickwork by Pepperberry Farm, on Flickr
and possibly the best shot on the roll: hollyhock by Pepperberry Farm, on Flickr
conclusion:
I will not be reloading this camera any time soon - far too limiting in its controls, too many distortions in the lens itself, plus honestly, the analog process just no longer holds its appeal for me....

quick update on the status of the Olympus ISZ 330...
the 10-year-old roll of Fuji Superia 400 did not hold up well over the years - I finished the roll and had it developed.... poor color saturation, poor clarity, etc....
felt like I was looking at Instamatic shots from the 70's.....

it should - it was working when I stopped using it, however many years ago (analogous to 'ran when parked', I suppose)...
I'll get some batteries this week, see what's what with the roll that's in it...
