On the average, that is not the case and you both are naive if you believe they are figuring out the way home on google earth. The way to a party, maybe. :p

I think they way FB started was intentionally to "catch people with their hair down" and it later evolved to a more general virtual meeting place. My university, college, and units within my college are on FB. Hell, I can have FB up at work and it not be a work infraction, lol. Anyway, that is where it can't get dodgy, work and personal stuff get put into a virtual blender.

There's a difference in liability with buying something online with Sears & Roebuck or via PayPal regarding protection of information. When an entity like Best Buy gets hacked for example, banks are made aware of it an I have been notified by various credit unions and banks when things like that have happened. FaceBook isn't responsible for much. A lot of us that were warning do in fact use F.B. The point is that it is wide open with minimal security and probably has more security leaks than a sieve. Many people tend to approach it with their guard down often while drinking etc.
