It's the sharpness that impresses me.
It's a 50 year old 200mm lens at max aperture and it can do that.

I'm lucky enough to have the 85mm Tak. Here's an example of why I treasure it. Opened right up it is a bit soft but retains its feel. |

Nice one! The 50mm/F4 Macro is one of my favourite Taks on APSC.
Can I ask a question of other Tak users using later bodies than my K10d please. Is the metering improved with M42 glass on the later bodies. The metering certainly isn't the K10d's strong point with manual lenses.

I love that black and white of the buildings.
That Tak24 is my favourite lens on a crop body.

Here are a couple more photos with various lenses - all using a k10d.
Tak 50/4 Macro - One of my favourite Takumars. Perfect for handheld macro shots on a crop sensor body.
Tak 24/35 - My everyday 'go to' lens.
Tak 85/1.8 - Great IQ with this lens. 'Artistically' soft at F1.8 but very sharp by F4. Fantastic colours. If you are put off by the price these things fetch, then IMHO, they are worth it. Mine is a cosmetically ropey copy but look what it can do. |

This is my first posting at this illustrious club from which I have got so much inspiration.
By way of thanks, here a some images I took yesterday with my Tak 24/35 which lives on my k10d. |
