Who cares about bokeh when you show pictures like this? :D:D:D

Nicely posed dog! But why is his left eye purplish? Don't tell me he wears contacts :hmm:

Thanks so much Paul. The lens is a keeper indeed. I am not so sure about the photo. :D:D:D
Cheers!

These Hosta petioles were taken with what I often described as my surgeon's tool: the Super Tak 135mm f/2.5. Without exaggeration, this is really a "brand-new" lens with virtually no indication of even light use by the seller, who was a serious collector of Takumars. (He had fallen on hard times and decided to sell me a few collector's items.) Even the hard case that came with it is in mint condition.
I love how this lens renders buttery smooth bokeh. |

I hardly use my SMC M 150mm f/3.5, which can render amazing bokeh. |

The SMCP M 200mm f/4.0 is a cheap and plentiful telephoto in the used market. Its bokeh is average but there are times when it does become interesting. This was taken I think wide open or close to it. Mind you it was almost dark and so this was taken at ISO 1100 with a K5.

Hi Shiner, that's one interesting bokeh shot. The rooster's head really pops out of my screen. Great colours too.

These are all top notch photos --- aesthetically and technically speaking. No wonder LBA is so rabidly rampant in this forum :D:D:D ---------- Post added 09-20-15 at 03:02 AM ----------
I like how the tiger's eyes are placed in between the blades of grass. Great composition.

Wow! You made the bokeh of this "stack of primes" sing. I have this lens and know how challenging it is to coax it to produce pleasing bokeh. You definitely have mastered its use.

Amazing bokeh. Lovely composition with the most alluring OOF rendition that I have ever seen.
P.S. Addition
I've never heard about this lens before. The bokeh is intriguing.

Where's the lake? LOL! Nevertheless, a beautiful shot with pleasing bokeh. I like how the bluish backdrop (the lake I imagine) complements the warm colours of the florets.

Very appealing subject taken with beautiful colours. Can't go wrong with blue-orange palette. Well composed.

Thanks for the compliment Paul.
By the way, I get that same problem with Firefox occcasionally. So I've switched to Chrome. Full disclosure: I don't work for either company nor get monetary compensation from either one. :D

Took my Tokina ATX 90mm f/2.5 to a botanical garden. The background is a pond full of waterlilies in full bloom. The yellow globs in the background are the yellow centre of the flowers.

Very interesting doughnut-like specular highlights. I get those too with my SMCP M 80-200 f/4.5 albeit with reddish rings.

Took Ballerina Bokina (a.k.a. Tokina ATX 90mm f/2.5) for the third time. This time she came chaperoned by her dedicated macro extender. Alas, it was a breezy and hazy day because of the forest fires around Vancouver. Hard to get decent shots in situ. The lower temperature helped though because the bees were less perky. This was taken at f/3.2 and no sharpening was applied. Only the exposure was adjusted as my K20D tends to underexpose manual-focus lenses. I think I didn't nail the focus on the rim of the bee's eye.
