I know of no K-7 specific problems, it is a solid camera. You should look for general stuff like dust in the view finder, marks on the sensor from mistreatment during cleaning (will show on test shots taken at f/16 or f/22), scratches on the rear LCD, which would indicate that the previous owner didn't take good care of the camera.
Check that all dials and buttons work, that the flash can pop up, that the lens locks securely in place, and take some test shots.
