FA 50mm macro and D fa 50 mm macro

A 100mm macro lens is much more convenient than 50mm because it lets you keep more of a distance to the subject. Optically, the F, FA and D FA 100mm F2.8 are the same with 9 elements in 8 goups. Perhaps Pentax did some tweaking of the coating on the D FA to make it suitable for digital. I practice I can't seen any difference between the image quality of the FA and D FA.
