Importantly Tokyo 5/30pm Thursday 20th

More importantly 4/30pm DST east coast Australia,so must be 3/30 in QLD.:)

The alternative is a EF Viltrox Speeeedboooooster with a FF 70-200 f2.8 which becomes an F2

Well, the primes peak at 200mm.Mind you that one is F2 and adding the 1.4x and 2x extending TCs bring FOV up and speed down. The drawback being all those costalotta.

So the area where they could expand on is telephoto primes.

Good question, but I think the first production run will sell out quickly.

Reason being is the 100V is selling used at above the RRP that it was released at, so those owners could/may dump the "oldie" for this newby. Some will.

Yes, its coming.

February 20th is the rumour, so next month the leaks will come of whats being announced.

I suspect a crop body with the Pro4 or T40 most likely, both these styles are popular.

Probably a lens too(or two)?

Mark your diaries, if ya have ya newbys.

Highly unlikely ...built to a price, but many wish it was.

Highly advise against that or the X-M3!

---------- Post added 12-11-23 at 08:27 AM ----------

Lol, your idea of chunky is surprising...imo, the 27(s) suits the M1 perfectly. The 18 f2 combo does become a bit chunky.[COLOR="Silver"]

So some of the "for sure" rumours are

1/GFX 100 S model that is retro style like XT5 without advanced video features, so mainly aimed at stills shooters.

2/X100 newby to replace 100V...may carry on the roman numeral sequence.

HIGHLY LIKELY

3/X -Pro 4

Possible

4/X-T40

5/ X-E5

With each generation ofX Trans its usually around 2.5-3 years from first release to last. The H2s was announced May,2022.So we are about 1/2ish way with H2..H2s..T5...S20.

FYI the d500 was a leading sports and wildlife camera until it got caught up a few years ago by other brands...dual slots, a degree of WR and competed with the Canon 7D mk II .The Z50 may be similar resolution but its just a stock standard "ordinary "Nikon smaller and lighter than their FFs.

Well lots of lenses get adapted onto Fuji bodies but Ive not heard of Fuji lenses being adapted to other brands till now.

Theres a new FX to Z mount adapter with AF.

However, those Nikon crop cameras are not near as capable as the Fuji cameras(imo).Z30/50/Zfc all share the 20mp sensor and the old processor. No IBIS in those bodies or WR and speeds are ordinary as are video capabilities.

Perhaps IF Nikon come out with a Mirrorless D500, then some people may be interested?Plenty joined Fuji from Nikon's some still shoot FF with Nikon glass and adapters to Fuji.

One advantage for the crop Nikons is that it expands available crop glass by quite a bit.The people who are using the ZFC might want to have an aperture ring as well.

Use translate
???Z??????????X???AF??????BORYOZA FX-Z????? - ???? ???????

The latest Hasselblad wont do it, stills only from it.

However Fuji gives high quality 4K and 8K options.

Good progress and for all the other mounts too(but not RF).Some of the lenses are rated higher than the similar OEM gear.

Yes, thats correct.I think many bypassed the Tokina models.Ive no Viltrox/Tokina lenses but used their adapters and speed boosters(EF) which work quite well.

These lenses have been spotted in stores as discontinued, anyone who wants to pay more than Viltrox should buy now while stocks last.....Viltrox offers firmware updates on their wenbsite.Whether Tokina is superior I dont know???

For anyone who needs WR and adapts F or EF glass(EFs isnt WR),then Fringer has 2 new adapters.

Price is around 300 U$.

Team that glass up with the WR bodies that Fuji has, all H series, the T series(maybe not 1) and Pro series(definitely not 1).

On the Fringer website there is a list of lenses that are compatible with their adapters.

The Nikon version is Mk II...Canon is Mk III.Any previous version has no seals.

I think its the older processors, they were not great and are inadequate for the AF motor. There are 2 other Tamrons and I haven't seen any reports of problems with them.

Well its only compatible with the 24/26 and 40 mp bodies, so Gen 1 and 2 aren't an option...ie the 16mp bodies.
