Well the techys installed my NBN dish and modem(about 2 hours ago)....WHAT A DIFFERENCE!
My desktop puta is a 2009 core2 duo DELL Hybrid...it was pedestrian with the ABG broadband.Now its a speed machine!
Went with existing provider Bordernet...a short 5 minute conversation to clear my mind of any hiccups that may occur....ALL GOOD!
Will connect my laptop when I get a router.

FIBRE TO THE NODE....it isn't great,OK it expected to shut down in bad weather.BUT outages on perfect days ????
I was thinking of replacing my present satellite (ABG) with NBN satellite,but there's lotsa reports of unreliability.
Might just use my phn as a modem I think!

Sorry for my comment...
As far as Satellite goes, research the ISPs ....bang for buck might be false economy.

OH BUGGA !.....was about to join skymuster....but I have the choice of a month/12 months/24 months....with setup costs reducing as the term lengthens.

Had the NBN on a couple of weeks at my girlfriends house....iinet, fibre to the node(across the road,about 50m away)...so far its not that much faster.....but it beats the dropout rate by a mile.Previous dropout rate was zero,now its frequent.Kevin Rudderless,leader of uselessness.
About to put Satellite on my house so will report that functionality when I've got it.:)
