Nick, those photos are outstanding. I didn't realise the Autocord could produce such results and the films were up to the task too.
Great composition and certainly worth the trek in.
I was in Tas two weeks ago but didn't have the time to spend on photography.

Vinceloc, I don't know which camera you were using, but I have just been reading Ken Rockwell's review of the K1000. (Pentax K1000 (1976-1997)). Towards the bottom of the page he describes testing the exposure of your camera because he says they are all different. He says to use a higher ASA number if your photos are too light. I was surprised that the photo above was so bright but I'm only in the early stages of experimenting. Not sure if that is any help.

Robbotron, here is a star trail photo from the southern hemisphere. The trees are eucalypts. The light flash entered the canister as I was taking it out of the camera.
Taken with my K1000, K24mm f2.8 lens, 18 mins at f2.8. Ilford FP4+ film. ---------- Post added 04-17-15 at 05:18 PM ---------- Bobbotron, sorry. My mistake.
