I have a 1Ds II so been tempted to swap it for a D III at times (they are very close in price on the used market) for the superb high ISO performance. My 50D seems to do very well up to ISO 800 for my purposes, though at 1600 I wouldn't print a 20x30 and expect good feather detail. :)
Of course, I could always go for a 400/4 instead of a D III body and gain a stop.... seems like a killer lens (renting one in a few weeks to verify) if you boost contrast a bit in post to make up for the loss you get from the lens design.

Yep, I don't think it gets the respect it deserves. :)
How do you like yours compared to the 1D Mark III?
