Thanks for the comment.

Just a shame her bra strap was showing. I'm not good enough in photoshop (Gimp actually) to clean that up. :(

I always read this thread, but have not posted in a while. Took this a few weeks ago. Taken at ISO 1600 on my K7. Takumar 55mm 1.8 wide open.

I've got one of those 105's and never use it. I just love my 100 Tak to much and hardly ever take it off the camera. Sure it's F4, but I can live with that.

Was it a waste of an hour? Did you enjoy yourself even if you didn't get any good shots? I didn't even get out myself. :( Think of all the fresh air you got. (unless your downtown has a lot of pollution) :D

If this shot had been a little to the right, and all of that palm tree was in the frame, I think that would have gone from a good shot to a fantastic shot.

That's exactly what I did. Tossed in my shortest tube to bring my MFD in, and away I went. The cool thing with using such a short tube is that your focus still varies within a few feet, so you don't need to use rails to get the focus perfect, you can just focus as normal. ( as long as the subject is within focusing distance)

200mm Tak 3.5 Preset. Put a short tube in to bring my minumum focusing distance a little closer. Picture is cropped.

What is that streak in the sky? Plane and it's just a long exposure? Nice shot Mike!

I'll have to double check, as I also thought that when I looked at mine, it had more than 18. Good project for tonight. ;)

edit - just checked, and I was wrong. Mine does have 18.

If I had to guess, I think it's a 1962. I'm basing this on the fact that is looks like an old 62 Plymouth Belveder my friend used to have.

Yes, that is exactly what I meant. If you need to go from one end of the lens to the other, it's almost a wrestling match, but once your there, it's great to use. I 100% agree with your statement. For me it's a toss up between this lens and my Tak 100mm F4 as to what one I like best. I tried to count the number of blades in it, but gave up.

I've got that same lens. It's a tank to focus, but it is a very nice lens. Not sure if your aware or not, but this lens was produced late 50's-early 60's.
