Very nice! I should put mine on the KP for the remainder of this month and really learn to use it. I love the shots I got early on but for whatever reason gravitated away, probably autofocus related. With split-focus screens on all my cameras now if that was the reason it no longer would be.
I decided the FA31 was destined as my lens of the month earlier today on a K70 and think I may pair the Bower (Samyang) 85 with the KP. Thanks for the reminder of how well it captures and enhances light.

I'm gradually getting a little bit more comfortable with post-processing and Lightroom. This is a re-post of a photo I put up a couple weeks back. Bower 85mm 1.4 ---------- Post added 07-03-16 at 06:46 PM ---------- |

A couple more from today with my bargain-priced Bower 85mm. I couldn't be more pleased TBH, and might even have smoother bokeh than my favored Pentax D FA100WR. Might. |

From today. Terrible lighting with rain threatening nearly all day, yet still some very nice "street" shots. The Bower/Samyang 85mm1.4 is not as difficult as I expected it to be based on a few forum comments. I'm guess I'll keep it. :)
Edit: And ZERO post processing on these. As shot except for cropping in two of them

Rec'd the Bower variant 85mm 1.4 yesterday. The first 3-4 shots yesterday, perhaps under less-than-ideal lighting, were underwhelming IMHO. To be honest I'd sorta started leaning towards a quick resale.
I gave it another run today under a little better lighting and now I'm impressed. Gosh, it could not be any sharper! Shoots a tad warm so take that into consideration, but very nice skin tone rendering in the dozen shots. Seems to do especially well between 4-7.1 which sorta negates that 1.4 spec as particularly useful. Anyway a couple more outside under gathering clouds were exceptionally sharp too. For $160 I think I may have found an accidental keeper. It's not what I was looking for to begin with.
Two niggling complaints: if they had spent another $1.00 on producing a better lens cap and hood it would have been nice.
