Sidenote: I just ordered a BLACK K-70 and will be selling my "silver" one. I just do not care at all for the silver which really isn't. Yeah I know it's just cosmetics....
Otherwise I love the camera.

So quick update. I've been thru the eBay "great deal" scene before so I'm always on guard when I find a really good bargain. I was getting a new unopened K-70 as I mentioned earlier and for just $499. The shipper created a FedX label the very next day. But I learned long ago that it doesn't mean there's actually a shipment. Checking the status I found that as of last night it hadn't arived at FedX yet. So I sent the seller an inquiry wanting to know if there was a problem and also put Paypal on alert even tho it would have been far too early for them to take any action.
This morning an email reply from the seller that he has a problem now with eBay, his account is probably being closed, Paypal supposedly is questioning him (doubtful it's about this order) and rather than drag it out he was refunding my money. Looking at my Paypal account he actually did!
All's well that ends well. Except...
Damn it, now I have new camera fever. I wasn't looking or considering anything, patiently waiting out for a new crop flagship that I probably would decide was too expenive anyway, and very pleased my my KS2's
... until the "great deal". Now I find myself looking at K70 and KP reviews. How am I supposed to act now?? ;)

Oh, I'll still very often carry a K-S2 with me alongside the K-70. I get tired of sensor cleaning aggravated by field changing lenses on breezy days. But I suspect the primary will probably be the K70. I should know soon.
BTW I knew I was keeping an extra KatzEye for a reason. I see a new home for it arriving next week. :)

That's good news for me then.
I stumbled on a new, unopened box, silver K70 for a really good price last evening (damn I hope it's legit I don't need to get Paypal's help on this one) and supposedly arriving in about a week. I wasn't really looking to buy right now with two K-s2's already, but with the heavy cropping I sometimes do on my outdoor shots every pixel counts, and I've been really curious about Pixel Shift so I'll get a chance to scratch that itch with a relatively cheap investment. Image quality is said to be on par with the KP by nearly every reviewer who has compared the two just as you've found so yet another plus.
If everything is in order one of my well-cared-for K-s2's will go on the Marketplace next week (if not sooner) and priced to sell as I typically do. I would rather have something gone instead of trying to squeeze every cent out of it only to have it "Bump-bump" along for weeks. With what I feel are the excellent images I'm getting with the current camera's I'm not really expecting to be overly impressed with the K70 but I'll be happy to be surprised. :)
