Some action shots:
X-Air Challenge Costa Rica 2013. Cap Carlos Dardano and Cap Skip Stewart performing. Sigma 150-500 OS HSM
This one was under the rain, ISO 1000 with the Pentax DA* 60-250. Not even a girl with the D3s was out there shooting with me...she took cover. The Pentax might not have the fastest AF, but with the WR you can go get the shot, which is much better than no shot at all!

Don't know the type of plant but it was very interesting. All white color with a bright yellow flower. The picture has no editing other than a slight crop. Love the K5-IIs! |

It should be good enough for that. I use it for airplane spotting and Moon shots. It does require some good light but the K5's hi-iso low noise helps a lot.
Oh! hope you get clear skies and share the pics! That's gonna look awesome!!!!

Some examples with only some contrast and brightness correction. Big size in Flickr.
Some cropping on this last one.
I find the K-5IIs sharpness amazing. The AF is also improved. I've been using the kit lens and the results are amazing, of course the DA* also give impressive results. Amazing camera.
