That's a much nicer self-portrait than the one I took with that camera when it lived in the US. I still haven't scanned that roll. :(

Looks to me like a rubber collapsing Hoya hood like the one I use. Excellent hood, but it doesn't allow the lens cap to be used in unison if that is an issue for you.

Thanks for the history lesson. For a while, I was checking out FX'x hoping to snag a poorly-described CZJ 58/2. Never happened, so I snagged one here and within 2-weeks it stopped functioning correctly. My luck. It has been relegated to the "to be repaired" project pile. At any rate, I thought that little lens looked interesting and at 50mm, might make an interesting alternative (for someone) for a compact carry kit.
Cheers,
Adam

What lens is on the Praktiflex? That looks interesting. M42 mount, you say?

A few months ago when I was having my LX CLA'd, I debated for quite a while over whether or not to replace the leatherette and I contacted cameraleather.com regarding their exotic skins. They were very helpful with available options and solutions. Ultimately, I chose to stick with what I have since it is still in decent shape and to save a few bucks.

Wow Frank -- that's a beauty. And no brassing and a clean 50/1.2 to boot. I'm drooling.

Fixcinator, after seeing that...I think I need to spend more time with my Tak 55/1.8. :)

Nice one Blue. I just watched one of those close out on ebay a couple of days ago -- it had the zebra lens and everything. It went for $199 plus shipping if you're curious. I wasn't bidding -- just saw it and thought I'd see what it went for.

Thanks guys -- I read some strong reviews on the Schacht and snagged one...from Greece. I have yet to give it a good run.

That's a sharp looking camera. I can see why you were excited about getting it. Nice combo with the motor drive.
