I have a film making friend so yeah, I get what you're saying. I also get that some folks want more features, but at least from the wildlife documentaries I've seen, if I saw your video samples spliced in, I don't think I'd say, 'wtf just happened to the video quality all of the sudden!?' Your samples are proof that our current Pentax cameras can get the video job done for still photographers when needed/desired (or as you said, they have "functional video capability"). You've definitely inspired me to shoot more video in situations like these. (Now if I can just get out there like you do! haha!)

I vote for GPS/Astro too for sure... Not sure yet how much use these features are going to see from me. I kinda like star trails haha... I will be trying them though... Do wish the video wasn't a step backward on the K-1, but I'll probably still use it on rare occasion...
