Right, I don't think we should be burying high quality shots like yours and Mike's at the end of this tired thread. You guys have a better feel for these things--perhaps a fresh new thread?
I think it would really be fun and instructive to see more of what you guys shot and how and generally to compare notes.

It was a totally terrific outing: great group and loads of interesting things to shoot. I've just begun to sort out--man, do I suck!:( This one seems postable, though.

If it was just me I'd go for closer rather than cheaper but the cost differential is pretty significant and I don't want anyone to be priced out.
I'll be driving my Subaru Forester: given my casual approach to automotive hygiene and bad habits, it's not ride for the fastidious but can take three passengers in reasonable comfort.
I'll be bringing the "Black Dragon" (SMC 1000mm f8), btw. I'll be happy to give anyone who's interested a chance to shoot with it (and I'm also looking to pick up some pointers ;~)
I'm OC-averse (especially on in-season weekends) so I'll be skipping the beach run, I think.

The Eastern shore would be best for me (but I'd skip O.C. and head for Crisfield instead)
