I envy your ability to go out with a dog & camera (especially a big camera.) I really like the first two.

Too bad--it looks like it could feed a village! Or maybe eat one.

I'd be interested in what you mean by "the right circumstances."

I'm kinda relieved to hear that--I was beginning to think you were superman, scampering around those mountains with a 645 & half a dozen lenses. :p

Me, too. FWIW, I always down-size photos before posting them to smugmug--partly so I have more control of the process but mostly because my Verizon DSL connection is so slow.
BTW Those aren't Blue Jays--maybe Western Scrub Jays?

Thanks, Mike!
Yeah, I think that exemplifies some of the special qualities MF makes possible.

Ok, time to share some of my photos with the 645Z. Truth to tell, I'm still not convinced I have any business even owning it but it's an interesting challenge and there are some things I have in mind to shoot with it. I've been trying to keep things pretty simple, focusing on basic technique and trying toi get a feel for the camera's special capabilities and requirements. With regard to the latter, I've come to appreciate the need for a much more deliberate approach than the "run & gun" style I adopted with with crop sensor bodies. In part, this is simply due to the sheer size & weight of the body and lenses but, also, in view of the need for tripod support in many of the situations for which MF is particularly suited. FWIW, I carry the body and two lenses (DFA 55/2.8 & A120/4 Macro) in a thinkTank sling bag.) I also have an A*300/4 but haven't quite figured out what I want to use it for (and I need to figure that out before I schlep it about.)
Anyway, here goes:
A 120/4 Macro
DFA 55/2.8

That one answers the question I had about the first--which was whether the moon was lighting the under side of the tank. The second makes clear the answer is no but It almost seemed so and it makes the first one so mesmerizing. ---------- Post added 04-24-16 at 09:13 PM ----------
The wood shape in the foreground makes that more than just a lovely scene.

You don't need to IMHO--the first in the two you just posted is to die for.
