OK
Trying to think positive here. With temps going into the 40s for at least the next week.
Is it OK to start thinking spring?
Here's one from last year.
Super Tak 135 3.5 on an extension tube or 2. |

Welp, it's even COLDER around here today, so you'll probably like this one too.
I just edited it as a first play with DxO 8 ( the free one). It might be a bit too vibrant. What do you think? |

Finally, spring has arrived here in Detroit. Here's a few tulips shot with my 37th anniversary present, an M50 macro. Fleabay@$26. A slight ding in the filter ring, otherwise fine, as you can see here.

This one's 35-40 years old. I use a large tripod and a step ladder to get the pics these days.........................:)
It gets much taller and I'll need a real ladder.
They're a very delicate flower too, so sometimes the window to get the shots can be small. Too much wind, or a hard rain can mottle them and even a light freeze can turn them brown over night.
Here's one my wife had me enlarge, frame and hang on the wall.

It's an alien orchid!!
Run for the hills!
They are among the strangest looking flowers around.

Yet yet quite beautiful.
The bokeh adds to the scraggly effect IMO.

Good idea. All the tiny ones around here are under a foot or so of snow.
I usually have some in my garden by the end February. It's not looking good this year.
