It wasn't this guy?
Alexander Fyodorovich Kerensky was a Russian lawyer and key political figure in the Russian Revolution of 1917. After the February Revolution of 1917 he joined the newly formed Russian Provisional Government, first as Minister of Justice, then as Minister of War, and after July 1917 as the government's second Minister-Chairman. A leader of the moderate-socialist Trudoviks faction of the Socialist Revolutionary Party, he was also vice-chairman of the powerful Petrograd Soviet. On 7 November, his government was overthrown by the Lenin-led Bolsheviks in the October Revolution. He spent the remainder of his life in exile, in Paris and New York City, and worked for the Hoover Institution.

Saw a forum member at the Camarillo airshow with a 200 or 300, and his Nikon friend with 2 bodies/2 lenses. I had a 70D with Tamron 150-600...

I put a Pentax strap on my Canon for awhile until I got an Ape Case strap. It's fun watching people's eyes.

Weird. I think all my Pentax lenses came with a hood. But some people don't bother to put them on on overcast days or whatever, and just leave them on backward. I leave them on forward in my bag...

Canon does not provide lens hoods on cheaper lenses, and most people will not bother to buy them.

I was in a used camera store for a pouch and filter case (total of $3.00) and I overheard the salesman on the phone saying Canon and Nikon were the only brands to consider...

Put the 12-24 on the front and a grip on the bottom and it becomes "the official camera". So says the guide woman at the Ronald Reagan Library...

I was in New York City for a week. Had three camera-related conversations.
1. Someone noticed my camera and said "shooting with a dinosaur?" before realizing it was, in fact, a DSLR.
2. One of the guard/guide people at a museum noticed me and asked, in a Germanic accent, "what mode are you shooting in - P?". I said yep, because I was. He asked if I had a K100, and I said no (thinking K1000). Then I perked up and asked if he meant K100D, and he said yes. He said he had a "55-18" and 50-200 lens. I said, uh-huh and nodded. I said I had a fisheye, and handed him the camera to take a look. He sort of held it out like a P&S so I indicated he needed to look though that little window on the top. I zoomed the lens as he looked. He then sort of followed me a bit, and suggested it would be neat to lie down and point the camera up at the ceiling. I nodded, took a shot of some Roman columns and showed him. As I was leaving he said he would look for a fisheye lens.
3. Young man in front of me in a fast-food line asked if my camera was as good as a Nee-kon. I said they are all about the same. He said he had a D3100 Nee-kon (and I think he mentioned megapixels) and it was really sharp. I nodded.

Your co-worker failed in doing the research, as the lens-compatibility is a large part of the sales pitch. He deserves what he got :-)

Ran into a Pentax user at a geyser in Yellowstone. It was a minute or two after talking about the particular geyser that I noticed the brand, and mentioned something about it. He said his friend had all sorts of stuff and "a 1,000-dollar fisheye that does perfect fisheye shots". I pulled out my 10-17 and said "try this". He took a shot or two, and his son took a close-up of the dad's nose. We then went our separate ways, though we met up again at another geyser later. He asked if I'd take a shot of both of them. I said sure, and fired off a couple with his K10D set on green, with the kit lens.

Saw one Pentax user (out of what - 10,000?) at an airshow today (thought it might be Jimbo who is on vacation just up the road, but it wasn't). He said he recently "went digital" with Pentax as he has old lenses (and had a 300mm 2.8 going).
