Its been a while since I shared here. I've been really busy with school and family. But I finally got around to getting a battery adapter for my Yashica Electro 35, so I took it for a spin. I've got a light leak but on the other frames its on the left. Don't know where this colorcast is coming from, maybe flare. But I like it.

Electro 35, Kodak Ultramax 400, Unicolor C-41 in the kitchen lab, Epson V550.

The iron is a sculpture in front of a building technology school at the Univ of West Florida, and incorporates a bunch of different fastening systems and fixtures associated with structural steel. Art that teaches.

This one is kinda hard to explain. Its a double exposure. The first exposure was taken by a stranger with an unknown camera at least ten years prior to the second exposure. The second exposure of the iron beams was made on my pinhole camera. I got the film in a package deal with other photographic equipment and did not know it was already exposed. So when I built my 4 x 5 pinhole camera I loaded the film holders with this film and got a surprise when I processed it. I processed the film and made a contact print in the darkroom. I wanted to share this with friends so I scanned it and decided to do a little post processing. Noise reduction(hilarious if you think about it), exposure, contrast and curve adjustments. Then HDR software just for fun :) then a pinhole filter from Silver Efex pro(double hilarious). Enjoy.

I initially thought it was Ilford Delta 100 since that's what box it was in, and processed it in D-76 1:1 + 20% time. I got the time from DigitalTruth dev chart, and we regularly add 20% for a little more range. It turns out the film is Kodak TXP 320, a discontinued film. The pinhole exposure was seven minutes IIFC.

I looked at the size of the image in the link and it wasn't very big either. Looking deeper the attributes were huge, like you said. I assumed the IMG link would display the same as the in the link. Wrong ;) I wonder how many giant MF images I have hosted over there?

I like that angle as well. I warmed mine up a bit in Color Efex Pro. I like your DOF, gonna tuck that away for later.

Maybe a smaller aperture for flare. I'm fond of Kodak Portra and Ektar.

I changed the link to Flickr instead of G+. I think Internet Explorer doesn't like the Google links for some reason.

You did better than me. My first time out with the Ikonta C 6x9, I didn't advance the film far enough. Just till I saw the red dot, and forgot to look in the window. The result was twelve or more images all over lapping. They were mostly shots in a forest so it looks like one long negative with nothing but trees.

Cross post from the MF thread.

I feel I've been in a bit of a slump over the summer. Maybe the heat or the hazy light outside. Maybe its the kids driving me nuts. But I found this misplaced scan from this past winter. I can't wait for winter! I think I just like the light better. I like the clouds in the summer, but winter light is my favorite. Low angle, more red, less haze I don't know. This was my first roll of Portra soon after I got my 645. Now I remember why I was hooked.

Pentax 645, 45mm? maybe 80-160@80mm? Kodak Portra 400.

My first foray into into infrared. These were all shot at 1/15th at f2.8. I tried f16 and bracketed 2,4 & 8 seconds but those were a little muddy. f2.8 worked out a little better. The 645's meter wanted 1/8th but I bracketed and 1/15th turned out better. This was midday yesterday, pretty hot and bright but there is a brewpub next door so I brought my growler ;)

Pentax 645, 45mm, Ilford SFX 200, f2.8 @ 1/15th

orange trees in the fore live oaks in the distance.

Another orange tree to the left. I guess that pole falls into the 8ish% of the frame my viewfinder doesn't see.

Normally I don't like boats tied up at the dock as a subject matter, unless there dirty fishing boats :) Kinda like a bird in a cage. But this is nice with the converging perspective lines the docks make and all those masts are like a forest. Those clouds have a really nice 3d quality that are just floating there. The plane is a nice touch, I'm glad you didn't try to emphasize it in the composition and just let it be part of the scene. I'm gonna rethink marinas, and we got lots of em'. Very nice shot.

A scan of an 8x10 photo print that I made in the darkbathroom last night. A split grade process. Exposed for 45 seconds with a #5 filter then another 45 seconds with a #3 filter and dodged the bokeh with my hands then another 10 seconds of burn with no filter on the front of the shirt. This was the sixth print and I think I could do more in terms of improvement in tone. The top of the easel was a little out of alignment for one. May a different aperture for the highlights. I was just goofing around in the yard with a teleconverter. This was around 5 meters distance.

What you didn't have to melt a computer stitching all that together?

Thanks. I really didn't want to miss this opportunity. I was not really liking the big blue lights behind the ship but they made a nice effect on the water. There is also another shadow on the hull from the railing where I was standing that I just noticed.
