Solitude! That's the word I was looking for! Sheesh, it must've been a really long day for me yesterday.:o
Depending on when that Coyote lost his leg, he might not have any problems hunting. Humans and animals learn how to get around deficiencies very quickly, especially if we're were born with one. I remember watching a segment on television where a man without arms went fishing among many other things. He actually tied his hooks on with his feet and toes, then he baited the hook and casted the line into the water! To me that just seems impossible but to him it's the same as using hands.

I like this, there's a great sense of solitary (or solitariness?) as he looks out into the distance trying to pick up scent or sight. Very nice!
