John, it's easier for me just to send you one because the optimum design for this custom full frame baffle is "curved".

The baffle's in the mail to you. In a private message I sent you some instructions too.

I did not put the original baffle back on the lens. The one you see in the photo is a completely new one that I made out of flat black posterboard.

As I previously said, I've made plenty of these homemade baffles in the past for other lenses and my "before and after" photos on these other lenses have shown me that these home made flat black baffles work great.

Anybody want one of my homemade flat black 60-250mm baffles? I made a template and can easily make lots of them in the exact shape and dimensions as mine...

I am very experienced at making my own baffles. I have made many of them for my MOG Diaplan lenses.

After removing the baffle on my 60-250mm lens, I handcrafted a perfectly fitting new black baffle out of flat black posterboard and inserted it into my Pentax 60-250mm lens (see photo). It fits perfectly and does not in any way get in the way of the zooming of the lens. Also, it stays put and will not fall out. My home made black baffle completely covers all of the shinny internal parts of the lens just like the original baffle did. It works perfectly.

Gutta, are you a believer now?

Hey there "Uncle" fella, ever hear of please and thank you?

I'm doing lots of work already for this website's viewership, what with my testing of over forty 50mm lens on the K1. I'm looking at over 100 hours of testing for just that project. Give me a break!

Last week I removed the baffle from my Pentax 60 - 250mm lens.

Click here to see some photos that I took today with this lens on my K1.

As far as I can see, the removal of the baffle has NOT resulted in any loss of contrast, and certainly I don't see any haze or fuzziness in any of these photos.

But what I do not see is ANY vignetting at any of these field of views!!!

Yahoo, my surgery was a complete sucess! I would definitely do my bafflectomy again.
