The extra K1 weight was not an issue for me.
I bought a K1 when it first came out. I loved it. I then bought a K3II for a back up. I found that after extensive shooting with the K1 that I just was no longer satisfied shooting APS-C. So, I sold the K3II and purchased a second K1 for a back up camera.
As far as finding a good lens from 20 -24 for the K1. I've converted 4 Zeiss ZF 21mm f/2.8 lenses for people to use on their K1 cameras. All told me they are very impressed with the performance of that fine lens on their K1's.
Or, for less money and less weight, the Zeiss ZK (or ZF) 25mm f/2.8 is favored by a few Pentax Forums K1 shooters.
