I feel it is pretty sturdy. I've "forced" in on a 49mm lens and was more worried about the thread of the lens. :) In fact, I only did it because I had attached a UV filter before. :) It is a tight fit but one does not need to apply unreasonable force. I do it by practically screwing the adapter in (not clipping as you would normally).
Well, take that with a grain of salt. I completely baby my lenses and I think before I'd notice anything on the thread the Raynox adapter would suffer a bit of abrasion. But it looks like rather hard plastic that won't break that easily.

It comes with a 52mm-67mm snap on adapter. It is fits on easily with any lens within that range.
It is a bit of a pity that it isn't designed for the common 49mm filter size diameter. You can just about force it on carefully on a 49mm but it becomes more of a "screw in" job then a "clip on" action.
I believe some people are using step-down adapters from 49mm to 43mm to fit the Raynox on directly without using the snap on adapter.
