Quick question. I know the 15 is not WR, but has anyone any experience of using it in rain, or getting it wet? If so, any trouble? I want very much to use it conditions where it is very likely to get splashed. Just wondering...

One of the reasons I got the 15 was to try star trails. Here's my first effort. About 150 exposures in here.

Thanks, I don't find it accurate TBH, and never have on these type of lenses. The fixed lens mirror less cameras have awesome digital focus scales these days and they work brilliantly. I guess the scale will not be accurate between lens samples either so I guess it's just going to be trial and error, but at this FL I guess it's far less critical.

Thanks very much. Don't mean to be obtuse. Haven't used an SLR for years.

Well, I'm using aperture. It mostly seems to fix it. I have another question. Anyone experienced with hyper focusing this lens? I imagine f9 is fine, no need for f11, but am having trouble finding the precise focus point for hyper focal. Anyone found it?

Took it out for a spin today. First test shot. What I noticed (at f9):- very good sharpness, but not staggering. Zero flare, but slightly worrying CA at the sides.

Thanks I will try something like that. I am experimenting with the HDR feature on the K5 also. It looks like you could get away without the grads in some instances.

It's here! Realized my first mistake. Lens hood does not come off (as I had mistakenly believed) so no Singh-Ray square grad filters! Unless anyone knows of a way???
