I'm confused, exif shows DA 50mm F1.8.
I think that I have read somewhere before that the camera sometimes indicates the wrong lens.

Just to add to the suggestion that a manual 28mm prime can be found at reasonable prices, I found the -M 28mm F3.5 to be better than both -M 28mm F2.8 and the -A 28mm F2.8.
The K28mm F3.5 apparently is even better! according to the lens reviews. You might get lucky like I did and get a -M for around a fiver.
If you want a really cheap 50mm MF, you might look at the Rikenon (Ricoh) 50mm F2, can be had for around a fiver sometimes (including a Ricoh body if you are really lucky) and is well worth having to play with. Chinon 50mm can also be had cheap. Green button metering is a bit awkward but opens the door to some surprising lenses for the money.
