About Android. Doesn't the 0.8s startup time preclude Android being the OS? The Zeiss seems slow, requiring some kind of sleep mode. What about the Theta? Does it start up quickly?

Android is probably a simple way of geting access to a lot of features. Its a giant ball of mess however, by no means lean. I'm also wondering how it interfaces with real time aspects of the os.

The pop up flash works quite well with the high contrast bw mode for gritty night time shots. Bars, messy parties etc. I don't think street photographers tend to worry much about being descreet once the shot has been fired.
Provoke Magazine type photographs are quite often flash in the face type things.
