In windy conditions you also have to account for a high enough shutter speed to freeze motion. Macro shooting is already tough because of the mm thin depth of field, so you are trying to shoot at f16ish to get more of the subject in focus. But f16 at 1/250th and iso 100 conditions are very rare. The subject movement also eliminates any ability to shoot for focus stacking.
Even a light breeze can be enough to abandon most attempts at macro shots.
