TAN68,
Can Andrea run his compiles and tests on your machine using a virtual setup with him in Rome, Italy and you the US? He needs a Mac of any sort to proceed.

How do you know that it is not available in the API? I'll bet that the backend(camera) is the same for all and so is the communication from camera to device (phone etc.) but the documentation is usual Pentax. Each one was probably written by a different person with things missing in each. Have an honest try and don't trust the docs.

Andrea,
Have a look at this from the USB C++ SDK Capture Settings: Code: std::unique_ptr fNumber(new FNumber());
cameraDevice->getCaptureSettings(std::vector{fNumber.get()});
const std::vector& availableFNumberSettings = fNumber->getAvailableSettings();
// The list above might contain the following values.
// F4.0 (F4_0), F4.5 (F4_5), F5.0 (F5_0) I think all of the parameters are in the WiFi SDK but it is not explained.
This gives the available aperture setting for the attached lens. Just what is needed for Focus Stacking.

Have a look at an automated Focus Stack Automated focus stacking - PentaxForums.com This has way more than five focus frames in the stack.
As far a as import/export of the parameters, you are importing/exporting them now to the WCPD files which we don't have a format definition available for.
I'm requesting that you let the users to choose what to do.

Andrea,
I'd like to see an option to save and retrieve the table in CSV format so we can build the table in Excel. It would be a waste of your time to duplicate so much of what Excel or other spreadsheets offer if you can move on to getting the Mac version up and running. Sharing of setups would be easier too.
Sampling of the frames for stacking or selecting should be a concern and hasn't be mentioned before. To make good stacks, sampling at just peak focus points is probably not sufficient. This means artifacts will be seen in the stacks. Likewise beginning and ending edges of the of the ensemble being stacked.
Heavy users of various versions of stacking please comment on sampling.
