It looks like two specs hanging off a spider web spanning the leave and stem. (only goes to show how sharp this lens it :p)

Outstanding bokeh in those shots!
Oddly enough, I don't remember the the 43 standing-out in this way before. But it needs to be said, those shots are sublime. - great job!

I never really thought about the hex bokeh before, guess I should consider revising my standards :p
The thing of it is, that this Macro TC can be easily adjusted to smooth things out and so how it renders is a matter of settings I suppose. ex. here is a creamier version of the same buttercup(without wind):
