With the D FA 150-450 at450mm, ƒ/5.6, ISO 1600, jpg, cropped to 36%, a little PP in LrC, no NR.

K-3, D FA 150-450 + HD 1.4x TC, 1/1600 @ ƒ8, ISO 100. Handheld although I did brace myself against the side of my house. In LrC I adjusted the +Shadows, +Clarity, +Dehaze, +Sharpening. It turned out pretty well but I think the smoke and haze contributed a lot allowing the sun to be shot without glare and adding the color.

You are "stressing" the lens when shooting in a high contrast scene like this. I would say that the amount of CA is pretty minimal compared to some other lenses. You'll see many reviews of lenses when they do that on purpose to test a lens. Just my ¢¢.
