I want a longer FL of at least 400mm...
Hence my wanting of the 50-500... (150-450 a bit over budget...) and the 1.4 TC

When I use my 18-55 I use most of the range. When I use my 50-200 I use more the 200 end (and shorter when the horse I'm taking photos of charges right up to me (then I change lenses quickly as 50mm is too long a focal length...))

Today I did a first (for me), I went on a hike without my zoom lenses bringing two small primes (Macro 28mm f2.8 and 50mm F2.0).
I am amazed at how much I enjoyed using these primes and not a zoom lens!
It was a pleasant experience, not having to zoom only choice between 28mm and 50mm. I had the 28mm on my camera most of the time as I enjoy taking macro shots, but used the 50mm a couple times.
I brought these primes as the bag I was taking on the hike had room for one zoom lens or two primes and I wanted to take my 28mm...
I am going to feed my LBA with more primes from now on... and maybe the Bigma (50-500) when budget allows...
PS The lenses I brought are these: 50mm Auto Sears 2.0 and CPC Phase 2 28mm Macro
