When i read your post I thought, "Genius, why didn't I think of that."
So I've now tested the pocket wizards with the camera on the smallest jpeg file and they fire my flash every time.
I'll buy a class 10 card this week and report back, when I've tested it.

I've just jumped into radio triggers and when with the "industry standard". A pair of pocket wizard IIs. Got them home and set them up on my K5 with my FTZ 500.
The problem I'm having is the flash only fires every 20 sec. Although using the test button on the transmitter fires the flash every time regardless of the time in between test fires. It seems like there is something going on between the camera and the transmitter. I'm using class 4 sd cards and I'm wondering if a faster card might solve the problem.
Any ideas gratefully received.
